A nonprofit helping teens find strength from within through yoga.

About ISHA WARRIORS

ISHA WARRIORS offers free online and in person yoga classes and mental health support to teens worldwide. We believe every teen deserves a safe space to process, move and build strength from within.

Isha (“ee-sha”) is a Sanskrit word: “Ruling god or goddess; one who protects”. Our goal is to help every teen understand their infinite worth and power.

Meet Alli Louthain — Founder & Executive Director

Alli’s journey to founding ISHA WARRIORS began with a promise to share Aloha (love) wherever she lived. Add her love for teens and her belief in the healing power of yoga and our nonprofit to serve teens was born!

As a teen in Hawaii, Alli experienced the uniting power of “aloha.” Later, she discovered yoga, and while her first class wasn’t easy, the peace she felt afterward kept her coming back. Over the last 20 years, she has taught yoga to people of all ages — from toddlers to students in their 90's!!

In 2021, Alli felt called to focus her work on teens. She saw the struggles of her own children, her community and youth worldwide facing anxiety, depression and long waitlists for professional help. She knew yoga could provide immediate relief and support teens in their healing journey.

With no funding and little tech experience, Alli launched ISHA WARRIORS in 2022. Today, she leads free online yoga, hosts the Monday Mindset podcast, and partners with schools and communities to give teens mental health tools that last a lifetime.

Her dream is simple: bring the mental toughness, emotional resilience and physical strength that practicing yoga brings to teens all over the world.
