OK, so Last week I talked about fueling your purpose…and I hope you got you pumped up!! But are you also feeling a little lost when you ask yourself, "What IS my unique purpose?"

I have found in talking to people over the years both young and old…that many people do not truly grasp that they have an incredible individual purpose on this earth; nor do they understand that they have a unique way that they move through their journey and do things no one else can do.

Many of us haven’t take the time to really stop and ponder on who we are, what we want and how we can help humanity. And those are ongoing questions we must ask ourselves throughout our lives as we evolve and change. You are doing yourself and the world a disservice by not being more aware of your amazingness, nor owning your awesomeness.

So I want to talk more about how we can discover what our dharma is.

And as I have been pondering on this process, I keep coming back to a principal that I feel actually needs to be addressed before we can dive into soul searching introspective questions and self discovery.

Individual worth.

Because it doesn’t matter how many personality quizzes you take in high school or leadership style seminars you go through at work…if you do not truly grasp that you have infinite unchanging individual worth in the first place-your will be fighting an uphill battle of discovering your purpose and living your truth.

“Low self-esteem is like driving through life with your hand-break on.”— Maxwell Maltz

So Part One of figuring out what you purpose is…is first understanding your great worth and accepting you are complete!!

  • Being yourself (and loving yourself) in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

  • You are not the sum of your highs and lows.

  • You aren't more lovable if you change your appearance, make more money, become the most patient parent alive...etc etc..

Because your value never changes.
And your value is equal to every other person.

  •  “Self–worth is so vital to your happiness if you don’t feel good about yourself, it’s hard to feel good about anything else.”— Sandy Hale

  • When you don't feel good about yourself-it is most likely because your thoughts are fueled either by shame/self loathing or pride/fear.

  • Self worth is tied directly to feeling true confidence & that confidence comes from LOVING ALL OF YOU!!

  • Loving all of you isn't saying, "oh just keep being mean to people." Loving all of you is being very honest with yourself and making changes to move into a space of true confidence and love. When you are in that space, you won't be mean to others because you will love them like yourself and you will love yourself immensely!

  • You will make mistakes and fall short. You can choose to love yourself anyway.
Know that other people’s critical judgments about you change your value.
Nor do their actions towards you change your worth. You can choose to love them anyway.
You have nothing to prove to anyone.  Including yourself.
