Episode 99: Light The World with former new anchor Brenna Donnelly Ford
On this side of the world the winter solstice is a time when the nights are bitter cold and the hours of darkness stretch long. We are reminded of how important it is for us to recognize the Light within us and share our Light so "the night" doesn't envelop us and hope remains!
This year our Light the World episode is with an individual who is a beautiful Light Keeper! Brenna Donnelly Ford is a former television anchor and reporter, most recently at WISH-TV in Indianapolis. After 10 years as a journalist, she transitioned into public and media relations and is now sharing healthcare news for Ascension St. Vincent and Peyton Manning Children's Hospital. She's also a volunteer with several nonprofit organizations, currenting serving as media director for Light The World Giving Machines Indy. She is married with two miracle-baby boys and a rescue cat named Piper.
There are so many quotable moments in this episode as we talked...here are a few topics we cover!
1. Everyone is born with unique spiritual gifts. Take time to recognize your spiritual gifts/your dharma/your purpose!!
2. Choosing to see the whole story; the good and the bad and keeping a balance in our lives instead of dwelling on the negative.
3. What YOU do matters. And everyone can serve regardless of age or circumstance. There are opportunities to serve all around us.
4. Take the pressure off! Stop thinking you need to be super woman or super man and know that you are changing lives just by doing the best you can every day!
